The Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF) presents a series of public workshops as part of When Apricots Blossom at Palazzo Citterio during Milan Design Week 2026. Your workshop ticket includes access to the exhibition.
BREAD STAMPS
Discover the craft of chekich, the intricately carved stamps used across Uzbekistan to imprint distinctive regional patterns into bread dough.
Led by Uzbek artisans and joined by guest designers, this hands-on workshop invites visitors to explore the materials, symbolism and techniques behind one of the country’s most distinctive crafts.
The workshop will have English interpretation.

This workshop involves the use of sharp tools and objects. Participants must be 16 or over. Participants take part at their own risk. The organiser accepts no responsibility for any injury or damage sustained during the session. By booking, you agree to these terms.

LABORATORIO: TIMBRI DEL PANE
Alla scoperta dell'arte dei chekich, i timbri finemente intagliati diffusi in tutto l'Uzbekistan, che imprimono motivi regionali caratteristici sull'impasto del pane.
Sotto la guida di artigiani uzbeki e con la partecipazione di designer ospiti, il laboratorio è un invito a esplorare i materiali, il simbolismo e le tecniche alla base di una delle attività più peculiari del paese.
Il laboratorio si terrà con interpretariato in inglese.
