The Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF) presents a series of public workshops as part of When Apricots Blossom at Palazzo Citterio during Milan Design Week 2026. Your workshop ticket includes access to the exhibition.
TASSEL MAKING
A hands-on introduction to the art of tassel-making, a decorative tradition that recurs across Karakalpak material culture, from clothing and domestic interiors to yurt ornamentation.
Guided by Uzbek artisans and guest designers, visitors will learn the materials, techniques and meanings behind these objects.
The workshop will have English interpretation.

LABORATORIO: NAPPE
Un'introduzione pratica all'arte della creazione delle nappe, la tradizione decorativa presente in tutta la cultura materiale dei caracalpachi, dall'abbigliamento e l'arredamento alla decorazione delle iurte.
Sotto la guida di artigiane e artigiani uzbeki e designer ospiti, si impara a conoscere i materiali, le tecniche e i significati che stanno dietro a questi oggetti.
Il laboratorio si terrà con interpretariato in inglese.

Questo laboratorio prevede l'uso di strumenti e oggetti taglienti. I partecipanti devono avere almeno 16 anni. La partecipazione è a proprio rischio.
